Bill Merklein was perhaps the most prolific figure sculptor of the G.I.JOE: A Real American Hero line. He sculpted over 70 G.I.JOES for Hasbro from 1983 to 1989 as a contract sculptor. But Mr. Merklein's career went far beyond sculpting G.I.JOE. He’s sculpted toys and statues for Air Raiders, Alien 3, COPS, Dungeons & Dragons, Mighty Max, Star Wars, The Crow, Visionaries, X-Men and more! Luckily for us, he documented it all, and he decided to share this portfolio with the collecting community. Have a seat kids, it’s time for Portfolio Time with Bill Merklein!
